You can also connect the device with smart home devices like Alexa or Google Assistant to control it by voice commands.

This vacuum cleaner is slower than some others, but can still reach most corners and crevices. It has a large dustbin which is ideal for reducing the frequency the frequency you have to empty it. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers which lets you program the robot to stay out of certain areas or to stop cleaning altogether to avoid it from getting stuck.

It's not the best robot vacuum with laser mapping in its price range however it's better than most other options. The Roborock E4 has a better cleaning capability than the Roomba 694 and it can clean both carpets with a low pile and bare. It also follows an efficient cleaning route and has longer battery life. It is also more comfortable to use and has fewer components that need regular maintenance, is less expensive to maintain over its life and charges faster than the 694.

It's also worth taking a look at other models that are more expensive from the iRobot line, such as the 981 or the v7. They're more expensive but they provide significant improvements over the 694 in terms of cleaning performance on both low and bare floors. They also follow a more efficient cleaning route and have a larger dirt compartment, are more efficient to charge, can move more easily, and are much easier to connect with smart home devices.

Shark RV1001AE IQ

This budget self-emptying robot vacuum cleaner does a good job on carpets with low piles and hard flooring. The combination brush is able to reach corners and edges, and it automatically boosts suction once it spots carpet. It also does a great job of cleaning dirt from mid-pile carpet. The IQ's small dock footprint and self-emptying feature are great features. If you wish to alter the floor levels or set areas that are not allowed to be used, you'll need to manually reset the map.

The IQ's app comes with advanced mapping and automation capabilities however, it's not able to access no-go zones, which are available on iRobot models. The smart-pathing system of the app allows for superior maneuverability and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is very effective but it could get stuck on rug tassels.

During our tests, we observed that the IQ handled pet hair with ease. It was able to get rid of lots of debris on floors that were unfinished and a good amount on medium-pile rug. It was less efficient on shag carpets, where it struggled to reach dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It was able to maneuver chair legs, small spaces as well as the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. We did notice that it was a bit slower on floors that were not paved but it quickly recovered and performed more thoroughly than other robots we tested.

The IQ is a better choice for the majority of users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a bigger dust bin and lasts longer on a charge and is capable of maneuvering itself around obstacles. It also has mopping attachments that can handle sticky mess. On the other side the iRobot feels better-built, has fewer parts that require maintenance or replacement and incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance and creates virtual no-go zones with its companion app. It can even restart the cleaning process from where it left off if it has run out of battery before having completed the task. The iRobot can also be controlled via voice commands, which is a major benefit for many users.

Eufy 11S

The RoboVac 11S robotic vacuum isn't one of the most features-rich models, but it does offer excellent cleaning power for a low cost. The RoboVac 11S is designed for consumers with a tight budget who don't need a complex mapping system, or even an app to control it. The robot is able to last for up to an hour. It includes a remote control, cleaning tool, and AC power adapter.

The 11S is slim and sleek with a tempered glass upper deck that covers plastic and is made to appear like brushed aluminum. It's a nice contrast to Roomba, Samsung, and Neato designs that are more practical and industrial.

The eufy11S performed well in our tests at removing larger debris and fine dust from hard flooring. However, it was unable to give medium and high pile carpets an effective deep clean. The device has a tendency to hit people and furniture in its course. However, it is able detect these obstacles using sensors. If it encounters them it stops and lets out an alarm so that you can manually guide it through the obstacle before getting back to work.

The BoostIQ mode is a great feature of the Eufy11S. It allows you to set up the robot to automatically adjust the suction strength based on the floor type and the amount of mess. It's also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S where you want it to move.

If you don't have much furniture in the space where you'd like to vacuum Single Room Mode is an excellent option. The eufy will spend 30 minutes intensely cleaning the area that it's assigned to.

You can also select Edge Cleaning that reduces the time spent in each location to 20 minutes to ensure optimal battery life. By selecting this option, the eufy will move in a spiral fashion taking care of edges and corners to ensure a clean.

Miele Complete C1

The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range robot vacuum that can be a great performer on carpet. Its performance is also excellent on bare floors. It can pick up rice and other fine debris with ease. The suction power doesn't drop when the dirt bin is full. Its allergy-friendly design and air-sealed body will trap allergens to keep your family healthy. It has an onboard HEPA and self-emptying bin so you don't need additional filters or vacuum bags.

It's not as powerful as more expensive models, but it's still great for tackling stains and deep cleaning. Two front cameras provide live feeds of images on your smartphone, and it comes with one of the best obstacle avoidance systems we've seen. It also has a large dustbin, long runtime and a speedy clean-up that is free of bumps.
